At Horse Lax, we are passionate about girls lacrosse! Enthusiasm is contagious and we love sharing our excitement and love for girls lacrosse with high school and youth players, coaching them to become better players - and ultimately helping them gain a competitive edge!
Michelangelo once said, "The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark." We encourage players to set their goals high, then we help them get to where they want to be through hard work, commitment and determination. As we like to say, DREAM TO ACHIEVE!
Coaches
Leeland Gray: Leeland began coaching girls lacrosse in 2010. From 2010 - 2015, he coached girls youth lacrosse for RELAX (Redding-Easton, CT Lacrosse) and also served as the RELAX Girls Lacrosse Program Director from 2013-2015.
Leeland became the Head Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach for St Joseph High School (Trumbull, CT) in 2016, whereupon he coached the team to its first post season State Tournament appearance since 2007. Following are highlights since then:

Jettke Gray: Jettke began playing lacrosse at the age of 8 and she is currently in her Senior year playing lacrosse for Southern Connecticut State University. Jettke plays Center Midfield and she is a Draw Specialist.

2017: Team MVP, CT Class S 1st Team All-State, FCIAC Honorable Mention
2018: CT Class M 1st Team All-State, FCIAC Honorable Mention
2019: Captain, Team MVP, CT Class M 1st Team All-State, FCIAC Honorable Mention
2019-2021: Coached with the Nor'easter Lacrosse Club.
2021: Named to the NE10 Conference All-Rookie Team
